Gracie the clown isn’t spooky. Stroke survivor Alice Gewecke recently brought only laughs and smiles to other patients as she performed her clown routine as part of her occupational and speech therapy at Madonna’s Omaha Campus.
“Gracie told me on our very first day that being a clown was a big part of her life, and so we thought what a better way than to incorporate her everyday life than have her do her clown routine for patients at Madonna,” explained Kasia Richardson, a speech-language pathologist at Madonna.
Alice said it made her feel good to make others laugh.
